Die durch Dr. Hermann Neuhierl im fränkischen Fürth bei Nürnberg ursprünglich als Sparte des Blechspielzugherstellers JNF Josef Neuhierl gegründete Firma produzierte seit Anfang der 1960er Jahre Autorennbahnen für Rennsportfans, befand sich zwischenzeitlich im Besitz der österreichischen Firma Stadlbauer und wird mittlerweile von der Carrera-Revell Gruppe geführt.
Bis heute gängig und beliebt ist das Zweileiter-System, dass nahezu alle großen Slotracing-Hersteller weltweit verwenden.
